Job Description :

1) Name of the post : Assistant director of census operations (Technical) (plan)- 15 post
2) Pay scale : PB-3, Rs 15,600- 39,100 + grade pay of Rs 5400/-
3) Classification : General central service, group ‘A’ gazetted, Non Ministerial
4) Method of Recruitment : Deputation (including short term contract)

Eligibility Conditions :

(A) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre / department; or

(ii) with two years service in the grade rendered after appointment there to on a regular basis in posts i the pay band PB-2 Rs 9300 – 34800 grade pay Rs. 4800 or equivalent in the parent cadre / department : or
(iii) With three years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment there to on a regular basis in posts in the pay band-2, Rs 9300- 3400 with grade pay of Rs. 4600 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(B) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience :

Essential :

i. Master’s degree in statistics or operations research or mathematics ( with statistics) or economics (with statistics’) or commerce (with statistics’) or anthropology or sociology of a recognized university.

Desirable :

Three year’s experience in collection, compilation, tabulation and analysis of statistical data.
