Job Description :

1. Name of the post : Deputy registrar general (social studies), 01 for Hqrs. Office of registrar general, India.
2. Pay scale : Received PB-4, Rs. 37400- 67000 + Grade pay of Rs. 8700/-
3. Classification : General central service, group ‘A’ gazette, Ministerial
4. Method of Recruitment : Composite method ( Deputation including short term contract).

Eligibility Conditions :

Officers under the central government or state government or union territories or universities or public sector undertaking or recognized research institution or semi- government or statutory or autonomous organization.
A. (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre / department; or

(ii) with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment there to on a regular basis in posts in PB-3, Rs 15600- 39100 Grade pay of Rs. 7600/- or equivalent in the parent cadre / department : and

B. Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience :

Essential :

i) Master’s degree in sociology or social anthropology from a recognized university .
ii) Twelve year’s experience of participation and guidance of investigation and research in the field of sociology or social anthology with special reference to community studies .

Desirable :

Doctorate degree in sociology anthropology from a recognized university.
